Tuscania, a medieval village

Known for its two Romanesque churches of Santa Maria Maggiore and San Pietro that distinguish the landscape. Tuscan is a splendid village of Etruscan origins, chosen as set by many film directors, including Pasolini.
You must visit the Romanesque churches containing basso-rilievo and frescos, the park of the Tower of Lavello has a splendid view of the surrounding valley, the Archaeological Museum, the Rivellino Theatre and mainly the maze of churches, palaces, arcs, alleys and profferlo (an outside staircase with an arcade underneath) all of which characterise the historical centre.
